Demolition is finished and land has been cleared to make way for downtown’s newest apartment building to take shape.
The Metropolitan will have 241 units consisting of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. Residents are a stone’s throw away from Glenwood South and can see the rest of downtown Raleigh from the rooftop terrace.

The amenities list is packed.
The building is planned to have “a golf simulator, pet run and spa, arcade room, enclosed parking garage, bicycle storage, resident package lockers, fitness center with a yoga studio, clubhouse with a wet bar, pool and sundeck with a tranquil fountain,” according to the property management company.
The apartments themselves range from 556-square-foot studios to larger 1515-square-foot two-bedroom units with a loft.
Dark wood finishes, metal and glass accents, quartz countertops, wood-style flooring, and walk-in closets are planned for the interior of the units.
As of today, plans are for residents to be able to move in August of 2017.
The intersection of Jones and Harrington Street will become a prime residential area with nearby buildings of The Quorum Center and Link Apartments on each corner.
It continues to fuel the resident rush to downtown’s Glenwood South district.
